11/12/2022 0 Comments Dynasty warriors 8 pc spinningGames with a fixed camera may tend to play better with a controller. In something like Dynasty Warriors, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, or even Prince of Persia, the keyboard's too cumbersome and clunky and most of those games have the option of locking onto an enemy, making what would usually be an advantage an afterthought: using the mouse as camera control.įPS's and some 3PS's however, yes, the mouse and keyboard is superior to a controller. Originally posted by Tenshu:Secondly, I don't see any clear advantage a mouse and keyboard would have over a controller in a third person action game, unless the game combines elements present in games that were made for the mouse and keyboard (Witcher and Game of Thrones for example). That is all, thanks for reading through my long Factual "Rant" about "Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition". PS: Please do be civil about your replies, try not to argue the two points, that it is originally from the console and the pc user just has to put up with it, and the simply and redundant point to "Just use a controller". This topic is about, for starters, finding a way to use the mouse, and lastly, getting this issue noticed by the developers (if that ever happens). With all that said, to put it short, I honestly think it just comes down to the one simply fact, that the developers for "Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition" did not simply add the ability to use the mouse and having online multiplayer available, which they can easily implement it, if they so desire, but are too lazy to do anything about it. So far the only multiplayer I have found is the local multiplayer, but I honestly would not call it that, to put it simply the only "Local" multiplayer I have found is the one that uses the one keyboard on the same computer and are using different ends of the keyboard.Ĭorrect me if I am wrong, but local means when two or more computers are connected on the same internet network, not just the one computer.Īlso to note, I do not have "Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition" on the console, but I have heard there is no "Online" multiplayer on the console version as well, please correct me if I am wrong about that one. There is no online multiplayer I have seen, unless there is some bizarre out of the way method of being able to play online multiplayer, which if there is, that is completely a fail on the developers side, and no player on console or pc have to go to extreme lengths to be able to play online multiplayer if that is the case. When buying a game for the pc, you typically expect to be able to use the keyboard and the mouse, so what is the point of having a game originally designed for the console to be ported over to the pc, when the pc port version of the game is not properly redesigned for a pc user? Which then "Forces" the pc user to use another method, like a controller, to be able to play the game.įor this particular game "Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition" I find that the developers where too lazy to implement a simple mouse key binding, it is not the fact that "it will cost the developers more resources" to simply implement the ability to key bind the mouse, like I see in many arguments on this topic, it is just the fact they did not consider the possibility that "Most" pc users use a mouse alongside the keyboard.Īnother part of this topic I would like to discuss is the part where there is no multiplayer.well a lack of it anyway.
